Fuel Oil Price Today as on 17th April, 2025
Fuel oil prices largely unchanged in Asia. Spot premiums for VLSFO (very low sulphur fuel oil ) edged up after more trades executed at higher premium. The cash differentials for VLSFO pegged at a premium of $3.5 per Mt to SG quotes. The refining margins for VLSFO eased amid crude volatility. HSFO (High Sulphur Fuel oil) spot markets largely range bound while cracks retained strength. Backwardation widened that indicates spot market strength.
Hi-5 Fuel oil spread is the premium of VLSFO over 380 cSt HSFO.
Turning to other markets, crude markets continued to trade in bearish mood. FO prices decreased while LDO prices are revised down in India for the second half of April.
