Bitumen prices have come down

Bitumen is a sticky, black and highly viscous liquid or semi-solid composed primarily of highly condensed poly cyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Bitumen is used in road construction due to various properties and advantages it has over other pavement constriction materials.

In India, Oil marketing companies revise the Bitumen prices on fortnight basis. On 16th of August, 2018 all the Bitumen graded product prices were slashed remarkably across all the delivery points in India.VG-10 (Bulk), VG-30 (Bulk) and VG-30 (packed) graded bitumen prices revised down by around Rs.1400 per Mt inclusive of taxes. VG-40(Bulk) prices were decreased by Rs.1616.60 per Mt. CRMB-55(Bulk) and CRMB -60(Bulk) grades prices were slid by around Rs.1200 per Mt. An increase of 38% in India&#39s bitumen import in June  from Middle East and South East Asia would trigger the domestic market prices down.
