Mineral Turpentine Oil (MTO) is also widely known as white spirit which consists of volatile fractions derived from crude oil, containing paraffin, naphthenic and aromatic hydrocarbons in different proportions. MTO is categorized as a B class product. MTO is under solvent under order as per MOPNG gazette notification. This license is to be obtained from the state government or district magistrate for buying, storing, use and sale of Mineral Turpentine OIl (MTO). MTO finds its application to dissolve resins, rubber and bitumen. Also it is used to reduce the viscosity of the solutions produced for resin based coatings, thinners etc.
