14.2kgs LPG cylinder price. On International Women’s Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared good news. He lowered the price of cooking gas (LPG) by ₹100. This change started at midnight and is meant to help families, especially women, by making things a bit cheaper.
The government will keep helping by giving a ₹300 discount for each big gas cylinder (14.2 kg) to specific people in the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. This support will continue during the financial year 2025 (FY25). People who qualify can get this discount for up to 12 refills in a year. As of March 1, 2024, more than 10.27 crore people benefit from this program. The total cost for this help in FY25 is expected to be ₹12,000 crore. This discount is available for everyone in the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
