Fuel Oil Price Today as on 21st October, 2024
0.5% very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO) cracks prices inched up 1 pct with a closing premium of $14.18 a barrel last week. Low sulphur and high sulphur refining margins logged in increases for the second week. VLSFO spot premiums stable last week with a little change on Friday. Cracks were strengthened due to 7 pct sank in crude oil prices last week. HSFO cash premiums largely stable. Despite of stronger performance in margins, Spot benchmarks pared recently due to inflow into Asia market.
Turning to other markets, Crude futures settled in 7 pct weekly loss on bearish sentiment buoyed up by demand woes . FO prices increased in India while LDO prices went up in India for the second half of October, 2024.
