Fuel oil prices up at Singapore trading window. VLSFO (very low sulphur fuel oil ) spot markets are in rangebound . HSFO (High Sulphur Fuel oil) spot markets under pressure. Widening Backwardation indicates spot market strength. Strong inflex of Middle East supplies piled up onshore stock pile in Singapore. The inventories jumped above 3.9 pct week on week holding typical weekly averages and reaching their highest in 17 weeks. Strong HSFO physical markets are boosted buying during April.
Hi-5 Fuel oil spread is the premium of VLSFO over 380 cSt HSFO.
Turning to other markets, crude markets logged in weekly gains for the first time in three weeks. FO prices decreased while LDO prices are revised down in India for the second half of April.
