Fuel Oil Price Today as on 12th April, 2025
Fuel oil prices slumped $30 or 6.67 pct during this week. Spot fuel oil differentials edged higher on Friday after market structure improved slightly at the prompt month trading. Singapore cash differential for VLSFO (very low sulfur fuel oil) was pegged above $3 a Mt on firmer bids for late-April and early May loading dates while backwardation widened for the balance – April/May Contract. HSFO (High Sulphur Fuel oil) cash differentials also saw strong bids in the spot market, Bringing cash differentials into a narrower discount at the end of the week.
Hi-5 Fuel oil spread is the premium of VLSFO over 380 cSt HSFO.
Turning to other markets, crude markets continued to trade in bearish mood. FO prices may go down while LDO prices will be revised down in India for the second half of April.
