Bitumen price in India changed as on 01st September 2024.
On September 01st, 2024, bitumen prices decreased across all VG-graded types in India, with updates made by BPCL, IOCL, HPCL, and MRPL. IOCL released new prices for both bulk and packed bitumen at the Chennai depot, reflecting these changes.
In Chennai, Bitumen VG 10 Bulk decreased from Rs. 40,162 to Rs. 39,552 per metric ton (MT), a decrease of Rs. 610 per MT. Bitumen VG 30 Bulk also saw a Rs. 610 decrease, from Rs. 40,962 to Rs. 40,352 per MT. Bitumen VG 40 Bulk had a larger decrease of Rs. 710, going from Rs. 43,142 to Rs. 42,432 per MT.
For packed bitumen, VG 10 Packed went down from Rs. 50,962 to Rs. 50,352 per MT, and VG 30 Packed decreased from Rs. 51,762 to Rs. 51,152 per MT, with each showing a Rs. 610 decrease.
These consistent price increases across different grades and formats indicate a broader trend affecting the entire bitumen market.
