Bitumen prices have increased in India. BPCL , IOCL , HPCL and MRPL revised all types of VG-graded tar bitumen. IOCL published bulk and packed bitumen or tar prices from Chennai depo. On 1st August, 2024, Bitumen prices in Chennai increased on both bulk and packed formats. Bt VG 10 Bulk saw its price rise from Rs. 37992 to Rs. 40092 per Mt, marking a change of Rs. 2100 per Mt increase. Bitumen VG 30 BULK price increased from Rs. 38792 to Rs. 40892 per Mt up by Rs. 2100 per Mt. Bitumen VG 40 BULK experienced a more significant price jump, rising from Rs. 40662 to Rs. 43062, an increase of Rs. 2400 per Mt. In the packed category, BitumenVG 10 PACKED drum price went up from Rs. 48792 to Rs. 50892, and VG 30 PACKED drum from Rs. 49592 to Rs. 51692, each with a Rs. 2100 increase. These consistent price hikes suggest a broader market trend impacting all product grades and formats.
