FO (Furnace Oil) , Light Diesel Oil (LDO), Superior Kerosene Oil (SKO) – Industrial, Low Sulphur Heavy Stock(LSHS), and Petcoke are the Industrial fuels largely used as a fuel to generate electricity and heat in different sectors. Being market-linked, Furnace Oil (FO), Light Diesel Oil (Ldo) pet coke prices were revised down while LSHS prices were revised up where as SKO prices are kept unchanged by Oil marketing companies (OMCs) on 16th December, 2023.

As We predicted, In India, Industrial fuel oil prices reduced on 16/12/2023, for the second half of December across all the oil marketing companies. The  Furnace oil (F.O) basic prices are reduced by Rs.280 to Rs.47839 KL  or Rs.280 per Mt with 0.58% down. Light Diesel Oil (LDO) prices are decreased by Rs.1660 or 2.51% to Rs.64590/- per KL from Visakha depo. Superior Kerosene Oil (SKO-Industrial) prices remained unchanged at Rs.93400 per KL from Visakha depo. Low sulphur heavy stock (LSHS) prices at Visakhapatnam Rs.1050 up to Rs.53710/- per MT while Petcoke prices are slashed to Rs.13072 wef 16/12/2023.
