Furnace oil , Light diesel oil , LSHS prices in India jumped for the second half of February 2024. Furnace Oil (FO) price in India saw the biggest increase, rising 0.7% to Rs.47,749 per KL at Vizag depot. In Visakha, FO price revised up Rs.350/- per Mt or 0.7 percent to Rs.49,770 per MT . Light Diesel Oil (LDO) wasn’t far behind, climbing 1.32% to Rs.65,940 per KL. Even Low Sulphur Heavy Stock (LSHS) joined the upward trend, gaining 0.823% to reach Rs.51,440 per KL. Notably, Superior Kerosene Oil (SKO) stood its ground, holding steady at Rs.93,400 per KL.

These hikes are likely to ripple through industries heavily reliant on these fuels. From electricity generation and heating to various industrial processes, the rising costs could impact production and potentially influence consumer prices down the line.
