Furnace Oil (F.O) and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) are the fuels largely used as a fuel to generate electricity and heat in a number of sectors. Being market linked, Both FO and LDO prices are revised on fortnightly basis in India.
As predicted, In India, Industrial fuel oil prices are surged wef 1/05/19, for the first half of May across all the oil marketing company depos. Furnace oil (F.O) prices are rose by Rs.900 per KL after a slid for two weeks in a row while Light Diesel Oil (LDO) prices are spiked up by Rs.1460 per KL as on 1/5/2019 in line with upsurge in Bunkering markets across the international ports during the recent weeks. Furnace oil (F.O) and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) prices are pushed up by above 10 pct since January 1st.
As per the publications of oil marketing companies, At Visakha depo, Furnace oil prices are soared by Rs.900/KL to Rs.36050/KL and LDO prices are edged up at Rs.44120/KL. In the Singapore market, IFO 180 cSt and 380 cSt graded fuel oil prices were traded 1.05% up side where as the rupee was depreciated by 0.6 against $ during the last fortnight.
