Crude oil price today as on 17th April, 2025
Crude Brent oil futures for June delivery rose 39 cents or 0.6 pct to $65.35 a barrel on London based ICE Futures Europe exchange while U.S crude oil benchmark futures, WTI prices are trading 0.35 pct low at $62.25 a barrel on Thursday Morning during Asian hours. Both the benchmark closed 2 pct up last night, pairing some of the previous sessions losses.
Crude benchmark futures price index curves moving flat today after demonstrating upside momentum yesterday. Fundamental unchanged in crude markets. On and Off tariffs are the prevailing Trade irritants. Mounting signs of gloomy economic outlook fanned demand fears across the world. Bearish negative monthly numbers exacerbated negative sentiment. turning to weekly numbers, U.S crude oil stocks rose slightly above expectation while gasoline and distillates stocks are drawn during the last week as per eia report. U.S pressure over China’s imports from Iran lent support to oil complex. Institutional data over speculator’s positions apart from drilling data awaited. I expect bears fest to be continued.
