Bitumen price in India changed as on 16th September 2024.
On September 16, 2024, bitumen prices dropped across all VG grades in India, with updates announced by BPCL, IOCL, HPCL, and MRPL. IOCL shared new prices for both bulk and packed bitumen at the Chennai depot, showing the changes.
In Chennai, Bitumen VG 10 Bulk fell by Rs. 1580 per metric ton (MT), dropping from Rs. 39,552 to Rs. 37,972 per MT. Bitumen VG 30 Bulk also decreased by Rs. 1580, from Rs. 40,352 to Rs. 38,772 per MT. Bitumen VG 40 Bulk saw a larger reduction of Rs. 1810, moving from Rs. 42,432 to Rs. 40,622 per MT.
For packed bitumen, VG 10 Packed dropped from Rs. 50,352 to Rs. 48,772 per MT, and VG 30 Packed also fell by Rs. 1580, from Rs. 51,152 to Rs. 49,572 per MT.
These price decreases across different grades and formats show a wider trend impacting the entire bitumen market.
