Bitumen price in India changed as on 16th August, 2024.
On August 16, 2024, India saw an increase in bitumen prices across all VG-graded types, with revisions made by BPCL, IOCL, HPCL, and MRPL. IOCL published updated prices for both bulk and packed bitumen from the Chennai depot, reflecting these changes.
In Chennai, Bitumen VG 10 Bulk rose from Rs. 40,092 to Rs. 40,162 per metric ton (MT), marking a Rs. 70 increase per MT. Similarly, Bitumen VG 30 Bulk saw its price rise from Rs. 40,892 to Rs. 40,962 per MT, also an increase of Rs. 70 per MT. Bitumen VG 40 Bulk experienced an even more significant price jump, increasing from Rs. 43,062 to Rs. 43,142 per MT, up by Rs. 80 per MT.
In the packed category, the price of Bitumen VG 10 Packed increased from Rs. 50,892 to Rs. 50,962 per MT, and VG 30 Packed went from Rs. 51,692 to Rs. 51,762 per MT, with each showing a Rs. 70 increase.
These consistent price hikes across various grades and formats suggest a broader market trend affecting the entire bitumen product range.
