DIESEL PETROL PRICES TREND IN INDIA
In India, Diesel and petrol prices are changed daily in line with a rise and fall of global oil prices. Following the daily price revision of auto fuels in India, Diesel oil and petrol prices are unchanged across India today. In Hyderabad, Petrol is being sold at Rs.85.30 and Diesel at Rs.79.74 a liter today. In Delhi, Petrol is priced at Rs.82.08 and diesel at Rs.73.16 per liter. In Kolkata, Petrol is now selling at Rs.83.57 and diesel at Rs.76.66 a liter. In Mumbai, Petrol and diesel are costing Rs.88.73 and Rs.79.69 respectively. Petrol pumps are charging Rs.85.04 and Rs.78.48 per liter respectively in Chennai.
National Oil Marketing companies in India reduced diesel prices marginally day before yesterday while petrol prices were kept unchanged. The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a public interest litigation seeking deregulation of petrol and diesel prices and to pass on the benefits to the public owing to a slump in global oil prices since April. The court is in the opinion that it comes within the ambit of the government's policy decision.

Biodiesel prices are bench marked with diesel prices in Indian retail market. The retail prices of bio diesel trended to follow the changes in diesel prices in India. Turning to futures, Crude palm oil futures (FCPO) for Nov delivery skidded 24 ringgits to 2847 ringgits and FKLI for Sep futures slipped 11.5 ringgits to 1495 ringgits on Bursa Malaysia.
