Furnace Oil (F.O) and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) are the fuels largely used as a fuel to generate electricity and heat in different sectors. Being market linked, Both Furnace Oil (FO) and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) prices are changed by Oil marketing companies (OMCs) on a fortnightly basis in India.
As We predicted, In India, Industrial fuel oil prices are increased massively wef 01/10/2019 , for the first fortnight of October across all the oil marketing company depos. The Furnace oil (F.O) basic prices are revised up by Rs.5360 per KL to Rs.38350 per KL and the Light Diesel Oil (LDO) prices are increased by Rs.2420 per KL to Rs.44390/- per KL from Visakha depo wef 01/10/2019. Furnace oil (F.O) prices are spiked by 16.25% and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) prices are up by 5.77% pct as on today from previous revision. An upsurge in world crude and bunker markets fueled by the depreciation of rupee against $ contributed to the upside tick of industrial fuel oil prices in India.
