FO and LDO prices. In the first half of March 2024, there was a notable increase in the prices of Furnace Oil (FO), Light Diesel Oil (LDO), and Low Sulphur Heavy Stock (LSHS) in India. Furnace Oil (FO), saw an upward revision of 0.2% rise to reach Rs.47,839 per KL at the Vizag depot. In Visakha, FO prices saw an upward revision of Rs.90/- per MT or 0.2%, settling at Rs.49,860 per MT. Light Diesel Oil (LDO) also experienced an uptick, climbing by 0.8% to reach Rs.66,470 per KL. Additionally, Low Sulphur Heavy Stock (LSHS) followed suit with a gain of 0.2%, reaching Rs.51,530 per KL. Notably, Superior Kerosene Oil (SKO) maintained its stability, holding at Rs.93,400 per KL.
These price increases might affect industries that use these fuels a lot. It could impact things like making electricity, heating, and other industrial work, possibly making production more expensive and leading to higher prices for consumers later on.
