Petrol and diesel prices are creeping up for last 6 days in a row. Both the motor fuel oil prices are revised upwards today across all the major metro cities in India. In Delhi, Petrol prices are inched up by 19 paise per ltr or 0.28 pct to Rs.69.07 a liter and diesel prices are edged up by 30 paise per ltr or 0.88% to Rs.62.81 per ltr from yesterday's price.
Petrol prices are surged up by 79 paise or 1.1 % while diesel prices are spiked by 55 paise with 0.88 pct since January, 6th. The auto fuels prices in India are buoyed up by the spiralling global crude prices driven up by the strong global financial markets, soothing trade fears and rhetoric words from producer's club to rein in over supplies. It is worth mentioning that depreciated rupee/$ also contributing to fuel price rise in India.
