DIESEL PETROL PRICES TREND IN INDIA
In India, Diesel and petrol prices are changed daily in line with a rise and fall of global oil prices. Oil marketing companies in India revised up petrol and diesel prices today for the seventh day, ending an 82 days hiatus in rate revision. Today, Petrol prices are increased by 59 paise or 0.8 pct and diesel prices are hiked by 58 paise or .8% today from yesterday's price across India. The consumers are more worried about the straight increase which is weighing on freight charges of all the products in turn affecting the budgets. On the other hand, The demand for most of the retail fuels are surging up following the ease of lockdown across the country. Petrol prices are burdened with Rs.3.9 or 5.3 pct while diesel prices are inflated by Rs.4 or 5.63 pct during the last seven days. Experts cite lack of choice as the key reason behind the auto fuels price upside revision.
As per the latest publication of oil marketing companies, Today, In Hyderabad, Petrol is being sold at Rs.78.03 and Diesel at Rs.71.73 a liter. In Delhi, Petrol is priced at Rs.75.16 and diesel at Rs.73.39 per liter. In Kolkata, Petrol is now selling at Rs.77.05 and diesel at Rs.69.23 a liter. In Mumbai, Petrol and diesel are costing Rs.82.1 and Rs.72.03 respectively. Petrol pumps are charging Rs.78.99 and Rs.71.64 per liter respectively in Chennai.
BIODIESEL PRICE TRENDS
Biodiesel prices are bench marked with diesel prices in Indian retail market. The retail prices of bio diesel remain unchanged today and trended to follow the changes in diesel prices in India. Turning to CPO futures markets, Crude Palm Oil futures traded 4 ringgits up to 2370 ringgits while FKLI futures prices closed down 7 ringgits to 1541.5 yesterday.
