PETROL AND DIESEL PRICE REVISION ANALYSIS
Petrol prices are hiked by 2-3 paise per ltr or 0.04% while Diesel prices are increased by 5 paise per ltr or 0.08% as on today from yesterday's price around all major metro cities in India except in Mumbai where petrol prices are spiked by 9 paise per ltr and diesel prices are burdened with 12 paise per ltr.
Yesterday, Crude oil prices were slightly on Thursday as a pipeline outage in Britain continued to lift Brent crude prices. Oil prices rebounded in mid-morning trade on Thursday, having earlier sunk after the IEA increased its forecast for U.S.oil output growth in 2018, raising the prospect of excess supply. The sharp fall in the dollar index helped the rupee gain momentum on Thursday. The domestic currency closed at 64.35/$ on Thursday.
PETROL AND DIESEL PRICE TREND
Petrol and Diesel prices are increased due to an increase in C&F price of crude oil with the strong currency support. The motor fuel oil prices are likely to go up slightly and petrol, diesel price changes are subjected to supply, demand and government policy.
